Manifesto: The Colors of the Wall

My Scream on the Wall: Why I Continue to Paint the City

ree

If you ask me why I traded the role of an illustrator for the concrete of a mural painter, the answer is here: paper was my school, but the city is my studio.

" I deeply believe in the reconciliation of the urban and the natural . So don't be surprised to see my giraffes with butterfly wings or my elephants floating in space. "

It's with a mixture of pride and purpose that I share with you my Manifesto: The Colors of the Wall . It's the compass that guides every brushstroke and every spray can I use.

The Bridge from Enlightenment to the Wall

My artistic journey began in Illustration Design (at Ar.Co in Lisbon), where I learned precision, technique, and how to bring miniature worlds to life. But suddenly, I realized my imagination wasn't limited to that.

I felt the call to scale this imagination, to transform the detail into a landscape. For me, a mural is illustration taken to its limit . It's using the light and shadow of a drawing and projecting them onto a 10-meter gable, transforming what was once intimate into something monumental and shareable.

The Algarve and the Spirit of the Place

I bring the light, warmth, and chromaticism of my Algarve roots to each project. My palette isn't random: it echoes the sun, the sea, and the land where I grew up. It's this energy that I strive to inject into urban environments.

But although my roots are in the Algarve, my language is Urban Art . The wall is my global stage, and my mission is to transform the cold, anonymous grayness of the street into the first step toward a wonderfully colorful world.

Injecting Fantasy into Concrete

My mission is clear: to inject life and fantasy into concrete .

I deeply believe in the reconciliation of the urban and the natural . So, don't be surprised to see my giraffes with butterfly wings or my elephants floating in space. These organic elements amidst the built environment are my invitation:

Stop, breathe and use your imagination.

I use the stencil technique to ensure precision, but it's the free gesture of the brush that gives soul to each figure. I want each mural to be a portal to a world where logic meets beauty.

Fly Pontes' Commitment

The wall is not my end; it is my means. My art must be ephemeral in its materiality, but eternal in the memory of those who see it.

Whether it's a community mural, a custom canvas, or a helmet I take on the road, each piece is a joyful act of resistance against visual monotony.

I am Fly Pontes: The bridge between drawing and the city. Where color doesn't ask permission, but offers itself.

Thank you for following this journey in color.

My Final Scream:

More color. More imagination. More art on the walls. Always!
